Villa Dafne is not just an agritourism or farmhouse hotel. It is in fact a part of the family business conducted against the backdrop of the rustic landscape of the Sicilian hinterland. The Azienda Agricola Fratelli Mascarella has been in the agro-livestock business for more than three generations.

Today, like yesterday, our crops and our livestock are cared for by respecting the land and animals, thereby helping our food to acquire healthiness, energy and flavour.

The Fratelli Mascarella company specializes in the production and processing of agricultural products such as cheeses and tomato products, coupled with the activities of the farmhouse hotel.V illa Dafne has now created the brand “Le Bontà di Villa Dafne” to allow its guests to bring home the same quality and the same tastes they find at the farm.

Our farming business is run in a strictly sustainable way in order to constantly protect the area’s ecosystem – which has always been free of sources of pollution – on the one hand, and to provide healthy and quality products on the other.

Among our preserves, tomato sauce is our chief product: tomatoes, salt and basil are the simple ingredients of the sauce that has been handed down from generation to generation. The astratto (tomato paste) is a synthesis of the tomato’s flavour and smell and it makes our old country recipes truly unique. Our delicious sun-dried tomatoes, vegetables preserved in oil, jams and eggplant caponata are all prepared with strictly natural processes to make sure our guests enjoy products whose traditional flavours have been kept intact.
