The Valley of the Temples is the most famous archaeological site in the world due to the exceptional state of preservation of important Doric temples of the Hellenistic period. The Valley of the Temples is the site of the ancient city of Akragas, the monumental original settlement of the city of Agrigento. Since 1997, it has been a UNESCO World Heritage Site. During the day, it is a great archaeological site where you can visit, among others, the Tomb of Theron, the Temple of Juno, the Temple of Concordia, the Temple of Castor and Pollux and, of course, the incredible Archaeological Museum.

During the evening, the Valley is enchantingly illuminated to guarantee unforgettable moonlight strolls.

The Valley of the Temples in Agrigento can be reached by car or train from Villa Dafne. The trip takes about an hour (68 km) along the Palermo-Agrigento expressway.
